January can have some grey and dreary days, but there were lots of special events that kept everyone engaged and joyful, including many with people and organizations from the community. Thank you to Linda Seely for performing a lovely recital early in the month. Thank you to community member Mary Ann who has donated over 20 blankets to us over the years, most recently some as prizes for bingo. Resident Mary Pat had a wonderful birthday with her group of community friends called “The Grasshoppers”! The Iowa County Humane Society visited with four-legged friend, Izzy, and our “Homemaker Club” made tie blankets to donate to the organization. Agrace Hospice led a Celebration of Life to remember those that had passed in 2022, and the Mineral Point High School Choir performed and led a sing-a-long. The Iowa County Historical Society presented on “Small Towns in Iowa County”, and it was all topped off with polka-dancing and a Winter Wonderland Meal with special winter-themed food.
